About the Role

We are partnered with a leading hospital system based in New York, NY, currently seeking a Vice President of Pharmacy Operations to lead enterprise-wide pharmacy services across multiple inpatient and outpatient settings.

This executive leadership role is ideal for a strategic and operational pharmacy leader with deep expertise in clinical pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, and healthcare system management. You’ll be responsible for shaping the long-term vision of pharmacy operations, enhancing patient outcomes, and driving innovation across all pharmacy services.

- $280,000 – $300,000 (based on experience)
- Up to 25% annual performance bonus
- Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide executive leadership over all pharmacy operations across hospital campuses, ambulatory clinics, and outpatient pharmacy services
- Develop and implement system-wide pharmacy strategies that support quality care, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards, USP <795>, <797>, <800>, DEA, NYS Board of Pharmacy, and FDA regulations
- Oversee operational performance, clinical services, budget management, and staff development across all pharmacy departments
- Collaborate with senior hospital leadership, nursing, and medical staff to advance integrated patient care models
- Drive technology initiatives, including automation, EHR optimization, and clinical decision support tools
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within pharmacy services
- Lead and support pharmacy-related research, residency programs, and academic affiliations

Education & Experience:

- Active New York Pharmacist License (required)
- 10+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a multi-site hospital or health system
- Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, clinical services, and healthcare regulations
- Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and manage complex budgets
- Excellent strategic thinking, project management, and communication skills
