About the Role
• $120,000 - $130,000
• 4-day week – Tuesday to Friday (9 am–6 pm)
• No weekends
• Volume – 100–200 scripts per day
• Well-staffed – 2 pharmacists, 5 techs, 2 customer service
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Pharmacist to join a growing compounding pharmacy team. This role will primarily support front-end operations, with a strong emphasis on reviewing and verifying compounded prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who may not yet have extensive compounding experience but is eager to learn. The position includes a structured training program in compounding, with ongoing mentorship and hands-on exposure. Over time, you will develop a strong understanding of compounding pharmacy operations, formulations, compliance standards, and clinical applications.
Responsibilities:
• Review and verify compounded prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness
• Ensure formulations, calculations, ingredients, and dosing are clinically sound and compliant with state and federal regulations
• Provide clinical oversight and final verification prior to dispensing
• Collaborate closely with compounding technicians to maintain quality and workflow efficiency
• Counsel patients and providers on compounded medications as needed
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines
• Support front-end pharmacy operations, including prescription processing and workflow management
• Participate in ongoing compounding training and professional development

Qualifications:
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing
• PharmD or equivalent degree
• Compounding experience not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
