About the Role
We are partnering with a growing 503A compounding pharmacy in Houston, TX, seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead daily pharmacy operations and ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a leadership role for a highly organized, detail-oriented pharmacist with extensive compounding experience and strong regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the sterile and non-sterile compounding pharmacy.
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including:
• USP <795>, <797>, <800>
• State Board of Pharmacy regulations
• DEA and FDA guidelines
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet best practices and regulatory standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits.
• Supervise and support pharmacists, technicians, and support staff to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient compounding and dispensing.
• Review and verify prescriptions, compounded preparations, and documentation.
• Collaborate with compliance, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure pharmacy performance, safety, and patient satisfaction.
• Conduct internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current on all regulatory updates and compounding standards.
Requirements:
• Active Texas pharmacist license in good standing.
• Must meet Texas State Board of Pharmacy qualifications for PIC.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a compounding pharmacy (503A preferred).
• Proven knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800>.
• Strong understanding of sterile and non-sterile compounding processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
