About the Role

We are partnered with a well-respected acute care hospital in Charlotte, NC, currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join their inpatient pharmacy team. This role is perfect for a clinically driven pharmacist passionate about direct patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and optimizing medication therapy in a hospital setting.

You'll work closely with physicians, nurses, and fellow pharmacists to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use across a variety of inpatient units, including critical care, internal medicine, and surgical floors.

- $140,000 – $160,000 (based on experience)
- Shift differentials and weekend incentives available

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
- Provide clinical consultation and therapeutic drug monitoring for hospitalized patients
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with care teams on medication-related decisions
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, regulatory standards, and formulary guidelines
- Monitor for adverse drug reactions and medication interactions
- Support transitions of care and discharge counseling when needed
- Precept pharmacy students and residents as part of the hospital’s academic programs
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical initiatives and protocols

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Active North Carolina Pharmacist License (or eligibility to reciprocate)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
- PGY1 Pharmacy Residency preferred (or equivalent inpatient experience)
- Strong clinical knowledge and comfort with hospital EMR systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in a hospital setting (acute care, ICU, or internal medicine preferred)
